One Size Does Not Fit All: The Importance of Inclusive Recruitment Practices

As a society, we are constantly striving for progress and inclusion. This applies to every aspect of our lives, including the workplace. At Singula, we believe that one size does not fit all when it comes to the recruitment process. That's why we've developed the Singula Onboarding approach, which is designed to be iterative and agile, allowing us to adapt and adjust as needed.

During the Awareness, we aim to provide candidates with all the information they need to determine whether Singula is the right fit for them. This includes meeting one of our team members and getting a sense of who we are, as well as understanding whether we live up to expectations. However, we also want to give candidates the opportunity to book meetings with anyone at Singula to gain a deeper understanding of the company and its culture. This puts the candidate in complete control and allows them to ask any questions they may have, giving them a sense of the power balance that is often skewed in generic recruitment processes.

If everything feels good, we'll move on to the Consideration, where we'll start to think about what it would be like to work at Singula and whether the candidate is the right fit for us. It's important to note that the recruitment process is a two-way street. It's not just about finding the right candidate for Singula, but also making sure that Singula is the right fit for the candidate. We focus on understanding candidates' dreams and wants. This is an important step in determining whether Singula is the right fit for them, as well as whether they're the right fit for us. The humane approach to the testing and onboarding process for new consultants is something I haven't encountered yet that I wish more companies used instead of the rigid HR structures that are widely used nowadays.
In the Conversion, we'll focus on discussing specific employment conditions and finding interesting assignments. Candidates will be constantly updated on opportunities for assignments and have the chance to meet more people from Singula. If we reach an agreement and sign an employment contract, candidates will get immediate access to Singula's resources, such as email, Slack, and invitation to our pulse meetings. Our goal is to find an assignment for everyone before their first official day at Singula.

Once a consultant starts working in a client assignment, they'll enter Loyalty, where we focus on client development, assignment development, sales, and supporting each other's growth. If a consultant doesn't have an assignment yet, they'll stay in Conversion until they're ready to move into Loyalty.
